Hurricane Helene Relief
From Dr. Willard Maxwell
VBSC Home Missions Director
TPBA 1st Vice-Moderator
As we seek ways to help communities suffering after this catastrophic storm, we invite you to pause with us and pray for those affected.
The Southeast continues to grapple with the aftermath of Hurricane Helene; Florida, Georgia, North Carolina and Tennessee were among the States that sustained widespread damage with fierce winds and heavy rainfall. Helene continues to threaten countless lives leaving thousands without power and many without access to food, water and a place to live.
Attached is a list of recommended hurricane disaster relief items that are needed. We solicit your unwavering support to aid the Hurricane Helene Survivors and Impacted Communities.
The following organizations (Virginia Baptist State Convention, Tidewater Peninsula Baptist Association, Coalition of Concerned Clergy and, InTouch Community Development Corporation) have united in a collaborate partnership focused on helping the families and communities that need assistance from the impacted areas.
We anticipate an abundance of donated items and have established several collection points that will end on October 17th, 2024, to allow donations to be packed and shipped to the affected areas.
